Zaurus DIY Mobile Cradle

Proceed at your own risk if you decide to try anything here. I did some work with power that can smoke your Z if done improperly.

Pictures and notes

I built this cradle with Acrylic by heating it with a heat gun and bending it over wooden templates. I used a Dremel to cut the material and a bench grinder to finish the edges. There was about 12 hours of work put into the Acrylic fabrication.

This was the concept I started with.

Here is the serial connector I used for the cradle. I got it from http://www.fivestarassoc.com/Z

This is some more info on the connector setup. The serial connections are specific to the Radio Shack GPS, I do not know if it will work for other GPS units or other serial devices.
